stitch club :: 6/2018 :: moonlight pine
inspired by one of my very biggest loves in life, the great outdoors... our june cozyblue stitch club pattern, moonlight pine.
🌲🌝🌌
club folks: if you're the type who likes to race through the patterns, you're in luck. this one can be done super simple and fast, with longer/thicker stitches.
🌲
but if you're like me and enjoy taking it slow, you're also in luck! savor those delicate details by using fewer strands, smaller stitches, and taking time to be precise with your stitch placement.
🌲
(remember there's no right or wrong way. embroidery is perfect for all types of stitchers!)
🌲
here's a detail shot of my tree progress.
🌲
i'm using split and straight stitches for the branches, and whipped back for the trunk.
2 strands for all.
screen porch sitting and stitching.💙🌲💙
(not shown but highly recommended: iced coffee, ceiling fan, audio book.)
💙🌲💙
if you are following along, i'm using a single strand for all of the non-tree stitching. straight stitches, cross stitches, and tiny colonial knots.
