i decided that i'll be using 2 strands to stitch all of this piece.
i started with the blue -- satin, back, and straight stitches.
and for these tiny pink flowers, each petal is made up of 2 small straight stitches.
.
this pattern is very versatile, and there are SO many ways you can stitch these flowers and vines.
[ satin / 2 ] for these pink blooms. still using 2 strands for everything, i've embroidered the starburst yellow flowers with long lazy daisy stitches, and am currently stitching the yellow leaves with a fishbone stitch.

have you tried colonial knots? i use them in place of french knots all the time and they are much easier (in my opinion) 💛
here's a how-to for colonial knots and i encourage you to give them a try!
just keep practicing. don't let a few knots stop you from stitching a pattern you love. you can do it!
