star stitch is an easy, and versatile stitch. i use it often for stars and flowers. it’s simple: a bunch of straight stitches that all meet in the center, arranged in a star-like shape.

i usually use 6 points, but your star can have as many (or as few) points as you like. you can also vary the length of each stitch, or vary the thickness of your floss.

as you stitch, you’ll be bringing the needle up at the outer-most points, and then bringing the needle down into the center. all of the stitches will share the same center point.
