my year in stitches

raise your hand if you've started a year-long stitching (or crafting) project!

i had decided to definitely NOT do one, but then i changed my mind at the last minute, and decided to just start and see where it went.

i did a lot of thinking about how it would fit into the rhythm of my daily life, and how i might use it to enhance and support the intentions that i have for myself.
i wanted to make it less about making the stitches super spectacular or impressive, and more about the simple significance of each individual stitch.

so i've tied my project in to my habit tracker (which i have logged in my bullet journal for many months now) and here's the gist of it:
at the end of each day i stitch a little star, each color on the star represents one daily habit that i accomplished that day.

blue = walk.run.hike
yellow/orange = sketching
red/pink = vitamins
green = green smoothie
purple = strength.pilates.yoga
white/gray = meditation

if you want to, you can follow along at @cozyblueyearinstitches2017 on instagram.

so what about you? how is your 2017 project coming along? what are you working on?
