stitch club :: 12/2017 :: shroom bloom

i've started stitching my shroom bloom [back stitch + colonial knots / 2 strands].

🍄

hot tea and slow stitching is always welcome. i've got a full day of work ahead of me, but i'm taking a bit of time for myself first.
if you're following along, I'm using 2 strands of blue here, back stitch and lazy daisy.

i'm all done with the blue stitching!
🔵
i used 1 strand / satin stitch for the berries, and 1 strand / seed stitches for the top of the flower.
🔵
[remember that the floss is 6 stranded, and you'll need to separate the individual strands]

these wee mushrooms are a little bit tricky, with such fine details. i'm using just one strand of floss for them.

if you need a little refresher for some of these stitches, check out my 'basic stitches for hand embroidery'
