i have a few new supplies in shop! first up, tulip embroidery needles, in size #7 (my favorite) and also assorted packs of thins and thicks. tulip needles are imported from japan and they are THE best. super strong and smooth, sharp, and just the right bit of flexibility. they come beautifully packaged in corked glass tubes and a fancy box, 8 needles per tube.

next, i'm happy to show you the adorable needleminders designed by my friend susan of red gate stitchery. these folk art inspired birds and tulips are made of enamel and super strong magnets -- simply attach them to your fabric (as shown above) and the magnets will mind your needle when you're not stitching.
no more lost needles and no more poking your needle through the fabric to hold it (not a good habit because it leaves holes in your fabric).
once you try it, you'll wonder how you stitched this long without one!

(bonus: you can also wear these as regular enamel pins!)
