stitch club :: 11/2024 :: stitchcraft

say hello to 'stitchcraft' and get excited - this is gonna be a good one!

i started with the scissors, needle, and thread and i'm using the very light pink floss.

for the needle, thread, and scissor outline, a simple back stitch [2 strands], then a single strand for the details on the scissors. straight stitches for most of them, and a little back stitch on the handles.
oh, and a colonial knot for the knot at the end of the thread!

 i'm working on the green leaves and stems along the length of thread.

i'm using [back/2] for the stems, and for the leaves, [fishbone/2] is just perfect.
(there are also a few small, sprouty leaves here and there, and for those i stitched several straight stitches right up next to each other.)

you can also see here that i stitched the light blue stars using [star/2]

next i'm stitching these pink flower petals with [satin/2]:

i've used colonial knots [2 strands] for the flower centers, and now i'm stitching the tiny yellow stars using a cross stitch [1 strand].

almost done!

✨i'll be updating this post as i make more stitching progress... stay tuned! ✨
