our september stitch club pattern, lady palm, is here! 🌿 this design is simple, sweet, and beginner-friendly; perfect for a relaxing stitch session. clean lines and easy flow make lady palm is a great way to enjoy some mindful making while bringing some houseplant energy to your hoop.

i'm using back stitch [2 strands] to outline all of the leaves:

and once that's done, i'm using back stitch [1 strand] on inner lines of the leaf:

for the stems, i'm using chain stitch [2 strands] to give them a little bit of texture:

and here she is all stitched up! part of me really wants to go back and turn the leaf outlines into whipped back stitch - i think that would really make them pop - but i'm going to stop here, for the sake of keeping it simple.
