stitch club :: 3/2026 :: pegasus

meet pegasus! our new pattern this month features a winged horse flying through a sky of tiny stitched stars, with the pegasus constellation tucked right in.

it's a sweet companion to my ursa major pattern, don't you think?

to start, we'll keep it super simple:
blue floss, 2 strands, colonial knots for the dots, star stitch for the constellation stars.

for the smaller stars, i'll use a single strand and cross stitches.

to outline the pegasus, i'm using chain stitch, 2 strands...

and also to fill in the hooves:

i've also used the same [chain/2] to outline the clouds:

and lastly, i'm loosely filling in the pegasus with single strand seed stitches:

💙 i'll be updating this post as i make more stitching progress... stay tuned! 💙 p.s. i'm a little behind this month, due to travel, so thanks for your patience!

  • I believe you meant to use the blue floss, not the pink?
