stitch club :: 4.30.26 :: i have some news

hi friends,
i have some news. and i want to sit down and write to you openly, the same way i would if we were stitching together at a crafty hang.

for the past 11 years, i’ve designed and sent a brand new stitch club pattern every single month. that rhythm has been such a meaningful part of my life, and one of the greatest joys of my work has been creating alongside you.

but lately, i’ve realized that the pace i’ve been keeping is just not sustainable. this community means so much to me, and i want stitch club to be the best that it can be for you all.

if there’s one thing i believe deeply in - both in stitching and in life - it is: slow down, get cozy, get crafty.

get cozy isn’t just about comfort - it’s about settling into the season you’re actually in, and honoring where you are. and right now, i can feel that i need to live that more fully in my own work and life. so:

stitch club is taking a break after july to reset and move into a slower seasonal rhythm.

+++++

here’s the plan going forward:
• stitch club will continue as usual through july, with a pattern pack shipping on july 1st. that payment will process on june 28th.
• after that, i’ll be taking a short break for a few months. (planned return: december 1 - which is also my 48th birthday!) that payment will process on november 28th.
• when stitch club returns, it will move to a seasonal rhythm, with a new pattern pack released four times a year:

december 1 (winter)
march 1 (spring)
june 1 (summer)
september 1 (fall)

+++++

this new pace will give me space to create more thoughtfully, and to keep stitch club feeling special - for all of us.

please know that this wasn’t a quick or easy decision. i’ve been sitting with it for a long time, trying to figure out how to care for both this community and myself in a way that feels sustainable and genuine.

+++++

here's what you need to know:
• you do not need to take any action
• your subscription will auto-pause after the july shipment, and will auto-resume on nov 28, for the december pattern pack
• if you have questions, you can always reach me at liz@cozybluehandmade.com

+++++

i also want to be transparent about something else:

in the 11 years since i started stitch club, i’ve never raised the price. but as material and shipping costs have steadily increased, i’ve reached a point where i need to adjust pricing to keep things sustainable.

when stitch club returns in its seasonal format, there will be an updated pricing structure* to account for these rising costs. and i'll also be introducing some fun new perks like cumulative discounts and rewards for stitch club members!

this change will help me continue creating high-quality patterns and keep this little corner of cozy creativity going for years to come.

+++++

during the break, i won’t disappear completely. i’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes peeks, what i’m working on, and a few new ideas i’ve been wanting to explore for a long time. you can expect updates via email, and i’ll still be hanging out on instagram and facebook. kits, patterns, and supplies will still be available on my website for all your stitching needs!

i’m feeling really grateful - and honestly, excited - for what this next chapter could look like.

and i want to say thank you, truly.
for stitching with me, for supporting this small business, and for being part of something that has meant so much to me for so many years.

this shift is about taking care of myself and nurturing the creative spark at the heart of stitch club, so it can keep shining for a long time to come.

i’m really glad you’re here, and i hope you'll stay.
thanks for reading.

with gratitude and a cozy cup of tea,
xo, liz

*updated pricing + free shipping for stitch club*

US club members
fabric + floss = $18
fabric only = $15

international club members
fabric + floss = $30 USD
fabric only = $25 USD

(re: international costs, i know, it’s ridiculous. shipping costs are extremely expensive, and the sad truth is that i’ve been losing money on international stitch club subscriptions for a long time. i am currently exploring alternatives [PDF versions, anyone?] and will keep you updated.)

  • I’m glad you are taking care of yourself and think the new calendar will be great. I pulled my subscription a few months ago because I was not able to keep up with getting each monthly selection done (my deadline that I had put on myself). I will definitely rejoin with the new plan because your designs always give me joy. Enjoy the break and the time for yourself. Hugs

  • Good luck and enjoy! I am international, and would definitely prefer pdf. I can gather my own supplies easily, and theres no carbon miles etc with an email over a package…..

    Enjoy your break and the sunshine!
