this moth and moon is our stitch club pattern for october 2017. the pattern grew out of a screenprint design that i made a few years ago as part of my 'stargazing' series.

for the embroidered version i've switched up the colors and the layout, and added more detail to the moth.

to stitch these delicate lines, you'll want to use just 1 or 2 strands of floss, and small neat stitches. if you stitched along with me last month, you'll remember that i used fly stitch for the edges of the flower petals. this month i'm using them again, for the forked brown lines on the wings.
