for january stitch club, my new golden mandala pattern is a simple centering mandala design. i'm taking a chance with the floss and trying something new: tone on tone. (check out some fun color variations in the #cozybluestitchclub feed!)

i've been feeling the need for some serious calm after the hustle of the holiday season. i want simple, i want slow, i want space to just sit, be still, and stitch.

from the center outwards, i've used: straight stitch, brick stitch, colonial knots, padded satin stitch, and back stitch + satin.
i'm currently stitching the second and third rows of scallops with back stitch and lazy daisy stitches.
