this sweet owl is my newest pattern, and our september stitch club project!

i've started stitching a little, and here's what i've got so far:

+ i'm using the darkest blue to outline the leaves and vines. for the leaf veins, i went back and used just 1 strand. the berries are colonial knots.

+ the blue flowers are also back stitch <2 strands> with some satin stitches to fill in the darker parts. i used fly stitch for the tops of the flower petals, to hug those sharp curves. you'll want to use a small anchor stitch here (but a longer one would look nice too!)
